Marita Setas Ferro, nascida em 1967 na Beira, Moçambique, é uma criadora e gestora cultural portuguesa especializada em arte, moda, sustentabilidade e artesanato. Ela integra essas áreas em projetos inovadores como designer de moda, escultora e diretora criativa, focando no Fine Craft e no patrimônio. Possui um Mestrado em Escultura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto (2009) e duas pós-graduações: Design e Marketing – Vestuário (Universidade do Minho) e Gestão Cultural nas Cidades (ISCTE/INDEG). Sua marca, Marita Moreno (2008), destaca o artesanato têxtil português na moda, com acessórios apresentados em semanas de moda de Nova Iorque, Londres, Paris e Milão. Marita recebeu o German Design Award na categoria Eco Design com um sapato vegan e artesanal.
É fundadora da associação Between Parallels – Design e Desenvolvimento Sustentável e membro da direção da Portugal à Mão. Seus trabalhos escultóricos incluem as séries “Soft Works” e “Wearable Sculptures,” expostas em Portugal, no Dubai e em diversas exposições internacionais.
Marita Setas Ferro, born in 1967 in Beira, Mozambique, is a Portuguese creator and cultural manager specializing in art, fashion, sustainability, and craftsmanship. She integrates these fields into innovative projects as a fashion designer, sculptor, and creative director, focusing on Fine Craft and heritage. She holds a Master’s degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto (2009) and two post-graduate degrees: Design and Marketing – Clothing from the University of Minho and Cultural Management in Cities from ISCTE/INDEG. Her brand, Marita Moreno (2008), highlights Portuguese textile craftsmanship in fashion, with accessories showcased at major fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris, and Milan. Marita received the German Design Award in the Eco Design category for a vegan, handcrafted shoe.
She is the founder of the association Between Parallels – Design and Sustainable Development and a board member of Portugal à Mão. Her sculptural works include the series “Soft Works” and “Wearable Sculptures,” exhibited in Portugal, Dubai, and various international exhibitions.

Inspirados no mar e na terra (corais, anémonas, estrelas do mar, conchas), esses elementos são ampliados e reinterpretados através de técnicas têxteis, como tricô e crochê, que criam volumes “apetitosos”. Os diversos fios utilizados aproximam-se das texturas naturais, provocando sensações prazerosas, especialmente nos sentidos visual e tátil. Estas Soft Works são peças leves, macias e moldáveis, que convidam a tocar, abraçar, sentir e amar.

Materials: wool and acrylic yarns, metal ring The pieces in this collection are artistic representations of natural elements. Sea and land elements (corals, anemones, starfish, shells) are seen through a magnifying lens and reinterpreted using textile techniques—knitting and crochet, crafted to create “irresistible” volumes. The various yarns used help replicate natural textures, creating sensations that evoke pleasure, especially through two senses—sight and touch. These “Soft Works” are light, soft, and moldable pieces that invite you to touch, hold, feel, and love.
